BMW proves that being "green" doesn't necessarily means to abandon the brands values and tradition.I mean this is what they're saying that they'll prove but I personally think all "green" thing is bullshit.BMW says that it i8 is very similar to the production i8 model that will be launched the near future.I say this is bullshit also.Basically with the i3 and i8, BMW is launching a new brand that will be based on this green,eco shit.The i8 concept is actually a preview of the series version that is based on the BMW Vision EfficientDynamic.Its a plug in hybrid that borrows the propulsion system from the i3 only this time the power is transmitted to the front.This means that being a hybrid is all a stupid lie that is ecofriendly! You know why? Because all this hybrid and electric fashion is crap.
The manufacture process of electric batteries for a hybrid or an electric car is creating a bigger carbon foot print and therefore hurting more the environment that is more "eco friendly" to own a Hummer ! On this car the combined engines make 348 HP and 550 NM of torque.The only good thing about this car is that its the first hybrid that seem sporty.It gets from0 to 60 in 4,6 seconds and has a top speed of 155 Mph.The fuel economy is fuckin' amazing:87 Mpg.Honestly even 40 Mpg wouldn't be bad considering the performance of this car.Designwise the i8 is a victim of aerodynamics,which is good.The design is great for a German car its almost like an Italian.So this is my controversial opinion on this concept car.
