The Bavarian manufacturer was certainly taken by surprise by the leak that occurred with a set of images of the new supersport sedan M5.Therefore considering what happened at the end of the day BMW reacted and released a series of official information about the new M5 and a gallery of 150 images.So to cut to the chase here we have the fifth generation of the most successful super sport sedan from the premium segment BMW M5.The original recipe for successes was kept since 1984,the moment when the first generation of M5 was launched.We are talking about a four door model with five seats that offers the space and comfort of a model from the premium class but that also reaches a level of performance present only in the supercar class.Somewhere in there we can say that we are already familiar with the lines of this new M5.So i won't insist in admiring M5's body because we all know that is already great to look at from every angle.I bet any M Power fan is anxious to know what's under the hood of this beast.I won't keep you waiting;under the hood lies a 4,4 L supercharged V8 engine called by the bavarians the M TwinPower Turbo.Well this isn't exactly a completely new engine because versions of this engine where used not long ago on the X5 and X6 M Power.As expected the engines performance is amazing.It produces 560 HP and a lot of torque,i don't know exactly how much.This new engine delivers 10% more power compared to the old V10 and 30% more torque,or so the BMW engineers claim.BMW announces a fuel efficiency of an average of 25 MPG,thanks to some energy braking recovering systems paired with a Efficient Dynamics start/stop pack.In theory this would make the new M5 one of the most environmentally friend supersport cars out there, proof being the low CO2 emissions, only 232 g/km.The power is send to the back wheels with the help of a 7 speed double clutch automatic gearbox.Its also equipped with a Launch Control function and on the back we find a complete slip rear differential.All this engineering brings some amazing performance.Top speed is electronically limited to 155 MPH but if the client chooses the M Driver package top speed will not be limited,so it will be able to reach 190 MPH.Woow 190 MPH is a lot for a sedan.60 is reached in about 4,4 seconds and 120 MPH in about 13 seconds.Not taking in consideration its performance rating the new M5 is just like any other premium sedan.There are a lot of options to choose from.The British journalists already announced a price for UK,73.040 Pounds.I invite you all to share me on Facebook and Twitter and connect with me just searching Michael Scoffield.
