Lamborghini will not make anymore cars with manual transmission.The future Gallardo will only be available with an automatic gearbox.Manual transmission is going extinct.Currently only 2% of the cars made by the italian manufacturer are bought with a manual gearbox.Out of this considerations the new Aventador will only be sold with automatic transmission.Maurizio Reggiani, the director of the department of development admits that the manual transmissions don't belong anymore with the italian sport cars.Among the lack of orders for this kind of models another reason for their extinction are the mechanical problems that occur more often with the manual.
The official claims that drivers can't change the gears in an optimal manner this leading to a disruption in the cars systems and in a decrease of the performance.The descendant of the Gallardo will be called Cabrera and will reach the market in the next two years.
